Spring may be just around the corner, hopefully, and an early Easter is upon us. To welcome April and to clear out the winter cobwebs, the Star Spangled Radio Hour will celebrate Easter weekend with two April 1 broadcasts from 1943 and 1944, presented by the CU Glenn Miller Archive. Listener favorites Bing Crosby and Glenn Miller will demonstrate why they were and remain the leading popular artists of their day. The program will open with a “Command Performance” broadcast with an Easter theme starring Bing, Dinah Shore and Bob Burns. Bing’s “Kraft Music Hall” regulars the Charioteers, Music Maids, announcer Ken Carpenter and John Scott Trotter and his Orchestra are also on hand.View...
