Governor John R. Kasich announced the appointment of Joseph W. Kirby of Springboro (Warren Co.) to serve as a judge on the Warren County Court of Common Pleas, Probate/Juvenile Division. Kirby will assume office April 29, 2013, and must run in November 2014 to retain the seat for the full term, which commences on February 9, 2015. Kirby is replacing Michael Powell, who was appointed to the Twelfth District Court of Appeals. Kirby received a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Miami University in Oxford, and earned his juris doctorate from the Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University.
